I was fortunate when my parents sent me to Europe after my high school graduation sparking my interest in international travel.  I have been traveling ever since. 

I focus on shooting high-quality, photographic images of different people and cultures around the world. My goal is to highlight the beauty of the different people and cultures I have visited worldwide. 

With over 55 years of travel photography experience and a keen eye for unique beauty, I seek to share my experiences through beautiful, timeless photographs.

I am the owner and sole photographer of Jon Hertz Travel Photography. I combine two of my favorite passions; photography and international travel, exploring and photgraphing places many only dream of visiting. Photography and International travel are my hobbies as I have never taken photographs with the intention to sell them. However, I do seek for others to view and appreciate the wonders I have experienced through travel. 

I photograph people of diverse cultures and customs, documenting their lives before their customs and cultures are inevitably absorbed into the modern world. 

I focus on shooting high-quality, beautiful photos of people and places around the world.  My books incorporate these photographs utilizing the highest quality papers available emphasizing and maximizing the clarity and color of each photograph.

Each book also provides the reader a short yet impactful description of the wonderful places visited and people encountered on my adventures.
